Gary is currently CEO of Social Qnect, a mobile application development company focusing on building Q and A native mobile applications for affinity groups. Mr. Scheier is responsible for the strategic direction and overseeing the development and commercialization of Social Qnect’s products. In 2001 Mr. Scheier co-founded QuietAgent Inc., a software development company focusing on social recruitment solutions for enterprise clients through its subsidiary, Findly Talent. In 2012 Findly Talent was sold to the Symphony Technology Group, a large private equity firm headquartered in Palo Alto, CA. Mr. Scheier represents QuietAgent’s shareholder interests as a member of the Board of Managers of Findly Talent. QuietAgent formed Social Qnect in 2012, and in 2013 sold a majority interest in the Company to Founder EquityFund I, LLC, an early stage technology fund established in Chicago in 2012. Mr. Scheier serves on the management team of Founder Equity Fund I, LLC, and assists the Fund with fund raising and business development opportunities. Mr. Scheier also sits on the Board of BillowApp.com., a portfolio company of Founder EquityFund. From 1997 to 2002 Mr. Scheier was VP of Business Development and later President of Telecom Wireless Solutions, an Atlanta-based company providing engineering services to the wireless telecommunications industry. From 1991 to 1997 Mr. Scheier was a partner at Weiss, Peck & Greer, where he was co-founder of its Quantitative Equity Division and managed over $2 Billion USD of Defined Benefit funds.
